Choose the Right Guardrail Grade
We offer four W-Beam variants to suit different project specifications, environmental conditions, and DOT requirements.
Class A (12 Gauge) Type 2
The standard specification for highway guardrail. 12 gauge steel with zinc coating of 3.6 oz per sq. ft., conforming to AASHTO M180. Suitable for the vast majority of state and federal highway applications.

Weathering Steel
Weathering steel forms a stable, adherent rust-like patina that protects the underlying metal. Ideal for humid climates, coastal environments, and locations where galvanized coatings may be subject to damage or wear.

ZAM® Type V W-Beam
ZAM® is a premium zinc-aluminum-magnesium alloy coating that provides superior corrosion protection compared to standard galvanizing. Type V designation meeting AASHTO M180 specification for maximum durability and service life.

Complete Hardware Packages
SPIG Industry supplies everything needed for a complete guardrail installation. All components meet or exceed applicable AASHTO and ASTM specifications.
SPIG supplies W6”×4”×8.5 strong posts and weak posts constructed from ASTM A36 structural steel. Custom cutting and hole-punching services are available. All posts are galvanized per ASTM-123 standards for long-term corrosion resistance.

SPIG provides polymer, wood, or steel blocks tailored to individual state specifications and project requirements. Blocks position the guardrail at the correct height and provide the appropriate flexibility characteristics for your barrier system design.
